AmpliTest Anaplasma/Ehrlichia spp . (Real Time PCR)
A kit for detecting DNA sequences specific for bacteria of the genus Anaplasma and Ehrilichia using the Real Time PCR technique.
Bacteria of the genus Anaplasma are intracellular parasites that attack granulocytes. Their structure is similar to rickettsia. They primarily cause animal anaplasmosis (AGA). Animal Granulocytic Anaplasmosis) in farmed and wild ruminants, equidae and canids. In humans, they cause human anaplasmosis (HGA). Human Granulocytic Anaplasmosis). The transmission agent is ticks of the genera Ixodes and Dermacentor . In Poland, it is almost exclusively the common tick (Ixodes ricinus ).
Bacteria of the genus Ehrilichia are the etiological agent of acute zoonotic infectious diseases. These bacteria cause monocytic ehrlichiosis (HME). Human Monocytic Erlichiosis) in a similar way to granulocytic anaplasmosis. In animals infected with bacteria of the genus Ehrlichia or Anaplasma fever, drowsiness, apathy, lack of appetite and weight loss are observed. Common symptoms also include swollen lymph nodes, petechiae and nosebleeds associated with thrombocytopenia. Sometimes neurological symptoms, vomiting or diarrhea appear.
The AmpliTest Anaplasma/Ehrlichia spp. (Real Time PCR) kit enables the detection of DNA sequences specific for bacteria of the genus Anaplasma and Ehrlichia in DNA samples isolated from the tissues of an infected animal (mammal or tick). The Real Time PCR reaction is duplex. Detection of bacterial DNA takes place in the FAM channel. The second channel (HEX ) is used for internal control detection. The controls in the form of DNA molecules obtained by genetic engineering methods included in the kit enable the control of the correct course of the Real Time PCR reaction.
